Environmental Policy

Here are some of the areas we have improved and are continually improving on:

LED lighting installed in 100% of bedrooms, hallways and other public areas

Smart controls installed in bedrooms to turn off lights, TV & AirCon when the room is not occupied

LED TV’s installed in all room and with Eco functions

Motion sensors installed in non essential area to turn off lighting when not required

Heat recovery system installed to pre-heat hot water from the Air Conditioning systeRecycling of paper, cardboard, plastics & glass, currently at approximately 95Encourage guest to reuse their towels during their stay

Reducing paper usage via emails & recycling of printer cartridges as well as using recycled paper

Incorporate environmental management into everyday business practice

Use environmentally friendly cleaning products wherever possiblWe are using Soap / Gel / Shampoo Dispensers in the bedrooms instead of individual sachets

Work with our employees, suppliers, contractors and partners to minimise our environmental impact

Ensure that employees at all levels are aware of the potential environmental effects of their activities and  the benefits of improved environmental performance, and will provide specific environmental training to this effect.

Communicate this environmental policy and promote environmental awareness amongst all employees;

Display this policy statement in a prominent position within the Hotel;

Comply with all applicable environmental legislation as a minimum standard;

Adopt a policy of ‘green procurement’, taking environmental factors into account in all purchasing and supplier contracts;

Take all measures that are reasonably practicable to:

reduce waste at source;

dispose of final wastes by the most environmentally suitable means; our waste is disposed by using recycling contractor for cardboard, plastic, glass and paper.

All other waste is disposed by using a compacter machine.

Encourage the use of public transport and the provide facilities for pedestrians and cyclists; and aim for continuous improvement.

This policy statement will be reviewed annually to ensure that it remains applicable to the activities of the Hotel and any agreements made between the Hotel and its stakeholders
